How To Extend A USB Cable Farther Than 15 Feet

Have you ever been in a situation where you needed to connect some hardware to your computer via USB, but the hardware was too far away?  USB specifications limit the maximum USB run to only 15 feet.  However, there is a good way to bypass this limitation for a ridiculously low price.

What you need to do is get an adapter that connects your USB cable to a CAT5E or CAT6 cable, and then you will obviously need one of those two cables.

The adapter (pictured to the right) consists of two parts.  One is a USB male to CAT5E/CAT6, and the other is a USB female to CAT5E/CAT6.  When connected, it works perfectly with any USB device.

The best place to purchase these products is on a website called  It sells various cables and other tech-related products at insanely low prices.  The USB to CAT5E/CAT6 adapter can be found HERE for only $13.39!

Also, if you’re interested in buying CAT5E cables to accompany the adapter, they can be found HERE at various lengths.  Just go take a look at these insanely low prices!  The longest cable on that page is 100 feet, it comes in the color of your choice, and it’s only $8.88!

If you work in the IT field, is a website you need to start using.
