Twitter Is Adding “Nifty” Features That Beat 3rd Party Clients

Twitter appears to have some cool new features in store for us, if a tweet from yesterday by Alex Payne is any indication.  In his tweet, Payne writes:

al3x If you had some of the nifty site features that we Twitter employees have, you might not want to use a desktop client. (You will soon.)

Obviously, this tweet worried some third-party developers.  @jazzychad replied in the following way:

jazzychad @al3x as a developer, i’m not sure how to take that looming tweet….

I rarely use desktop apps for Twitter, so I’m excited about whatever “nifty” features are coming to the web.

Personally, one simple feature I think Twitter should have had from the start is the ability to annotate retweets, but that’s just me.

Stay tuned to learn more about Twitter’s upcoming updates!
